Blogging Temporarily Stalled

Apologies for the lack of blog posts recently. I have been working to write the script for my short film and it is currently my main focus. I have cut out and re-written a few scenes but it should be finished soon. Once the script is complete, blogging should return to normal pace and lots of information will be put up about my progress.

Thinking About Character

I recognise how important having a good and memorable main character is so recently I've really been focusing on researching and exploring what makes a good character. Ive found various articles and reports from various film magazines and managed to find an article listing 10 main points for creating a memorable character. I've also researched into the types of heroes and villians and even created a Big Brother style audition tape for a character which encompasses all of my pet hates- just to get me really thinking about how to bring a character to life.

I've been busy!

Lots of new posts to read on my A2 Production blog! We've had a short film to recreate so there's quite a bit detailing the process to make that. There is also work on character building and how the key to a good film is good characters. I've also practiced evaluation questions and done some brainstorming.

Summer projects

Since I've been away from school I have been involved in a local film project with the aim of creating a short film to celebrate how cinema used to be.
